Revealed! The Secrets of Digital Printing on Light Colored and White Custom Tee-shirts
March 10, 2010
Digital t-shirt printing is the technique used to print images, graphics, text and pictures or any other types of design on a fabric or specifically in this case a t-shirts. This is the technology used by online establishments to make customized tee-shirts, an inkjet or color laser printer is used for the purpose. There are several ways in which an image can be printed on a t-shirt but we are going to specifically talk about a technique known as t-shirt transfers. In this method a t-shirt transfer paper hold s the design till it is transferred on the fabric.
A t-shirt transfer paper in a specially coated paper that is designed to take printing. This is subsequently pressed on the t-shirt to transfer the design. There are two types of papers used in this technique, one for light and white colored fabrics and the other for darker color garments.
So, first step of the procedure is to choose the right type of transfer paper for the job. The technique is similar to the one used in manufacturing t-shirt transfer papers available at retail outlets such as Wal-Mart and Staples. However, the fundamental difference is in the quality of the paper used while the retail shop paper is not the best in the market, a good t-shirt printer will use commercial grade paper and transfer the image through a process known as heat transfer. The combination of the two will give you an impressive looking design and print and a durable t-shirt.
Like all other techniques used in printing images on customized t-shirts; this method also has its share of pros and cons so lets take a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of using t-shirt transfers for printing a design on your custom tee-shirts.
This method is ideal if you need s ingle piece with unique design or a few tee-shirts with exclusive designs; you can simply print what you need and as many as you need so this makes the technique ideal for a small number of pieces unlike some other screen printing techniques that require a minimum number of tee-shirts.
Another benefit of using this technique is the full color printing effect. You design will be printed with inkjet or color laser printer, you can have as many colors as you like and all of them will be exactly the way you intended them to be when your design was on paper. Since color blending is possible in this technique, you can also print graphics and photos with gradient fills. There is also another advantage to using this technique; if you intend to stat your own designer custom t-shirt business; this technique will prove useful to make ‘one of their kind’ t-shirts. Also there will be no need for a set up; the best part about working with t-shirt transfers is that you do not need additional preparation. You can imply sketch the image that you would like to have printed on your customized t-shirt; then flip the design so that you get it just right on the t-shirt and press print. Or you could get customized t-shirts with the logo, name and telephone number of your company for your employees, potential clients and retailers. This is a wonderful way to get the word out about your business and your products.
One of the main problems that you will encounter when using this technique to make your custom t-shirts is the lack of white color. For instance, if you were to print the flag of the United States on a yellow t-shirt; the 50 stars will not be white but a light yellow. However, if you were to use the special transfer paper that is used for printing on darker fabrics; it should solve the problem.
If you want to make sure that your custom t-shirts last long, you will need to wash them properly otherwise the design may fade; the best way to wash a t-shirt with a design on it is inside out with cold water and detergent and do not put it in the dryer instead hand dry them.

An Overview of the Four Most Popular Binding Styles
March 10, 2010
If you’ve been trying to figure out which binding method to use, you know it’s not an easy decision. There’s a lot to think about including costs, how easy the method is, and if your documents will lay flat. So here’s an overview of the four most popular binding styles. After reading this, you should be able to decide on a style that’s right for you.
1.) Color coil: If your work needs a little splash of color, color coil is the binding method for you. It utilizes plastic spiral coils that are threaded through the holes in your document. The coils are available in a phenomenal amount of colors ranging from basic black and white to more flashy hues such as neon green. In fact, 60 colors are available, so this is a great method for any company that needs its documents to stand out. Coils are available in a variety and can bind up to 440 pages. They’ll hold their shape in the mail, plus they allow your books to lay flat so your readers will have a wonderful time perusing your work. And they’re not too expensive either so you can have durability and great looks for not a lot of cash.
2.) Plastic combs: Comb binding is probably the most popular style around and has been for almost half a century. It’s easy to see why since plastic combs are inexpensive, come in many sizes and colors, and are easy to obtain. Plus, you can re-open the combs if you need to edit your work after it’s been bound. Combs are either oval or circular, depending on how many pages they can bind, with the oval ones having the larger binding capacities. (A 2″ oval comb can bind up to 425 pages.) Documents bound with plastic combs will lay flat when they’re opened, but they don’t travel through the mail very well, so you’ll want to consider that if you plan on mailing your books.
3.) Thermal binding: If you’re looking to heat things up, this style is what you should choose. When you use this method, you won’t need to punch your documents. You can just print them, drop the pages into a thermal cover, and then place them on your machine. The machine will melt the glue inside the cover’s spine, creating a strong bond. It’s easy and fast, and best of all, your documents will look great because the covers used tend to look the covers of real books. The only drawback to this method is that the supplies cost more than either plastic combs or color coils. Nonetheless, if cost isn’t an issue, this method makes it easy to create both hardback and softcover books that look very professional. This is the method to use when you really want to impress someone.
4.) Twin-loop wire: Aside from thermal binding, twin-loop wire is the most elegant of all the methods listed in this article. Twin-loop wire spines can only be up to 1.25″ thick, so this isn’t the best methods to use if your documents tend to be lengthy. Plus, these supplies cost a bit more than combs or coils and you cannot edit your documents after the fact. Documents bound with wire spines also don’t do too well in the mail because it’s very easy for the spines to become crushed. Nonetheless, this is a method that will provide you with beautiful results, so if you need to create an eye-catching book, this method is a great one.
Choosing a binding style can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. Now that you’re aware of the four most popular styles, choosing one for your documents should be super easy.

Fairies – Creatures of Fantasy
March 5, 2010
For as long as stories have been told fairies have always played a very important role in capturing the imagination of both children and adults. Fairies are believed to be magical creatures that involve themselves in human affairs although they are only very rarely seen by humans. There are only three exceptions to this rule. The first is if fairies themselves use their magical powers to enable humans to see them. The second is during a full moon on Midsummer Eve the humans may be able to witness the fairies dances and celebrations. The third way by which a human can see a fairy is by looking through a stone in which a hole has been made as a result of tumbling in the waters of a brook.
There are many stories about the origin of fairies. One popular belief was that they were the ghosts of the dead. Another view held that they were a species in themselves and could be distinguished form both humans and angels. Some people believed that they were demoted angels. They had been thrown out of heaven but were not bad enough to go to hell. One interesting story about the origin of fairies can be found in the stories of Peter Pan. According to this theory when the first baby laughed for the first time his laugh broke into a million pieces and they all went skipping about. Each piece then became a fairy.
Legends about fairies are endless in number. In many legends fairies come and kidnap human babies and leave changelings in their place. Sometimes they bestow on newborn infants gifts like beauty, wealth and kindness. Other legends deal with fairies falling in love with humans and kidnapping them away from their earthly lovers. Many stories deal with disappointed humans receiving payment in the form of fairy gold. Fairy gold could not be trusted because it would appear as gold when the fairies used it as payment but as soon as the fairies disappeared it would transform into some very useless thing like leaves or grass. There are tales that revolve around protection from the mischief of fairies by using cold iron and charms. Fairies were said to consider iron as poison and never go near it. Fairies commonly used their magic powers to disguise themselves. Thus they were able to fool humans and get away with their mischief or perform their good deeds without being recognized until they had left the place of action.
Fairies have been depicted in various ways over time. In the earlier days fairies did not have wings. They always flew around on the backs of birds or on ragwort stems. They were depicted in two ways – either as tall radiant angelic beings or as short wizened trolls. Modern day interpretations show fairies as young small beautiful human like creatures with wings attached to them.
It is believed that witnessing a fairy funeral is an omen of death and that someone beloved to the person who is watching the funeral or he himself will soon be no more.

Famous Wax Museums – Bringing People and Celebrities Together
March 5, 2010
A wax museum is a collection of life like figures of real people made out of wax. Undoubtedly the most famous wax museum is Madame Tussauds. Other famous wax Museums include the Movieland Wax Museum and the Hollywood Wax Museum. The wax models resemble the personalities quite well and it makes even a wild guess difficult when both the real and the model is placed together.
Madam Tussauds is a name synonymous with wax museums. IT was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. She learnt the art of wax modeling from her mother’s employer Dr. Philippe Curtius. Her first wax figure was a sculpture of Voltaire. She also made models of prominent people in the French Revolution. In order to exhibit her collection she traveled extensively throughout Great Britain and Ireland. She finally settled down in Baker Street in London and opened a Museum there. One of the main attractions of her museum was the Chamber of Horrors. This held wax sculptures of victims of the French Revolution, murderes and other criminals.
Today Madame Tussauds is easily the most famous wax Museum in the world. It has grown to be one of the biggest tourist attractions of London. With its gaining popularity it has expanded with branches in Amsterdam, Berlin, Las Vegas, New York, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Shangai and Hollywood. The figures at this world famous wax museum include historical and royal characters, film stars, sports stars and even well known criminals.
One of the most famous wax museums in the United States used to be the Movieland wax museum. But this was permanently shut down in 2005. However while it functioned it was very popular. It was the largest wax museum in the United States and had nearly 300 wax figures of famous Hollywood movie stars. The costumes of the wax figures were often original ones donated by the stars themselves. This generally gave the originality of the piece and resembled very well to the great personalities.
The museum was brightly lit spacious and colorful. The sets around the wax figures were well known scenes form famous movies with attention paid even to minor details. Unfortunately this once famous wax museum had to close down because of dwindling attendance. Even after the closure, the museum is well known or is remembered for its excellence and how the entire ambience was maintained.
The longest running wax museum in the United States is undoubtedly the Hollywood Wax Museum. It is located on Hollywood Boulevard on the Hollywood walk of Fame. This famous wax museum is one of Hollywood’s premiere attractions. It houses life like wax images of silver screen icons in popular roles they played. The Hollywood Wax Museum has branches in Missouri and Tenessee. Recent remodeling of the museum in Branson Missouri has introduced an animated ride and a mirror maze.
Other popular wax museums include Musee Conti Wax Museum in New Orleans, the Wax Museum at Fisherman’sWharf in San Francisco and the Royal London Wax Museum in Canada.

Fairy Tales – Always the Same and Yet Always New
March 5, 2010
Nothing can compete with those childhood memories of sitting at grandma’s knee and pestering her to tell us one more fairy tale. Nothing could distract us as we sat all ears listening as she took us on journeys to dreamland with her stories that always began with “Once upon a time, in a faraway land,…” how we were filled with a innocent happiness when she reached the end of the fairy tale and declared in her authoritative way “and so they lived happily ever after.” Even after having listened to the same fairy tales over and over again we never got tired of pleading for one more. We now patiently pass on to our children those same old stories that somehow become new each time we tell it.
Fairy Tales refer to short stories that feature magical characters like fairies, pixies, gnomes, trolls, giants and goblins being very involved in human affairs. Many of today’s fairy tales have evolved from stories that are centuries old and told the world over though with cultural variations in each place. Fairy tales were passed down orally or dramatically enacted before they began to be written down. The earliest of such stories came from Egypt (the tale of two brothers), India (Panchatantra) and Rome (Cupid and Psyche). The first to record the fairy tales in written form were the Grimm Brothers.
Originally fairy tales were not meant for children alone. Adults were as much of an audience as children were. As time went by the fairy tale began to be seen as children’s literature. Therefore many alterations had to be made to original fairy tales in order to make it more suitable for children. For example in the original story of Rapunzel, the witch found out about the prince because Rapunzel kept asking her why her clothes were becoming so tight. The witch then understood that Rapunzel was pregnant and deduced that the prince had been coming to see her. This was modified to suit young impressionable minds and in the present version the witch finds out about the prince because Rapunzel carelessly lets it come out of her mouth that the prince was much lighter and easier to pull up than the witch. Many other fairy tales have been thus altered to deviate from the original story line without changing any of the main events of the tale and many began to have morals attached to them.
Today fairy tales are not only presented in the written form but also more and more through the visual media. Apart from the ever popular movies, games and accessories now are a big medium in which fairy tales are displayed. No one can forget the innocent black eyes of snow white or the long golden hair of Rapunzel or the lovely voice of Ariel because it has all been imprinted in our minds with vivid color and other technological effects. But with all that the ever advancing technology us can offer there is still nothing as good as good old grandma seating us on her knee and taking us on journeys to dreamland with her stories that always began with “Once upon a time in a far away land…”!

Embroidery Sewing Machines – Have a Lot to Offer
March 4, 2010
The times, they have changed. In the world of embroidery sewing machines the same is true. The embroidery sewing machines of today are equipped with computers, USB ports, and a number of other options that make embroidery as simple as designing the pattern in some cases.
There are some features that are should be noted though. These are the features that may have the greatest impact on the quality of the projects that you create with the machine you choose. These may also have the greatest impact on factors such as the time required to complete a project and the ease with which you complete a project with.
Key Features
Among the largest is the area that the machine can embroider. Since embroidery does not usually cover the entire piece the necessity of a large embroidery area is not always present. In come cases though the area serviced by a machine in a single setup may be as small as five by seven inches though. If you work with larger designs and do not want to have to move the material often you may want to seek out embroidery sewing machines that can service much larger areas.
The next of these key features is the numbers of needles that the machine has. A single needle is a common option for home units. That may prove to be sufficient for many of your projects. If you commonly use multiple threads though you may want to search for a unit that offers multiple needles. There are some units that have four needles and others that have still more. With multiple needles, multiple threads can be installed at one time. This can reduced the possibility of damaging the piece while changing threads or resetting the position, if necessary. If the machine has an auto thread-change capability then there is often the probability of higher quality and greater speed in completion of the project.
Interface is quickly becoming an important consideration. Many of the embroidery sewing machines that are available today have touch-screen interfaces. If you are not comfortable with the interface, you may not be as effective when using the machine. There is the possibility of learning to use an interface and some units may offer a design that can easily serve as a stepping stone from older to more modern machines. If you are looking to try something out temporarily tell the sales person you are working with.
Design
Much of today’s design is done in digital format. A number of people find that they can create more detailed pieces this way. You may find that developing your computer skills may help you in creating designs. There are also many sources for free designs available as a result of the digital format. Learning to embrace and welcome that capability may prove to help your embroidery blossom. You may also find that many of the designs that you view serve as inspiration for new designs of your own. Sharing your designs with others can prove a fun way to get more from your embroidery as well.

Words You Pick Up Over and Over Again: Sacred Song Covers
March 4, 2010
Zip can beat the prime, although thither are always a brave a couple of who would seek. This is very relevant in euphony, where a number of artists who endeavor to execute vocals popularized by other creative people. These are commonly known as Tops. In a comprehend, the lyric poems and the sweet organization may be edited or denaturized, working the Song an only entity at some point. Notwithstanding, commutes in words and arrangements aside, it is up to the auditors whether they would live with the new adaptation of an old Song or that. And despite the gamble of not being accept by the masses, many creative people have tried their hands on playacting old favorites, giving familiar words and euphony some new pulls. So here are some Vocal Continues by artists who dared to endeavor something new with already set music and words from made vocals.
“Beat It”
Fall Out Boy’s rendering of this Michael Jackson favorite gained gentle success; a significant accomplishment taking the Vocal—from its lyrics to its music—is significantly other from anything the band has did. at that place were no changes in the lyrics of the Song, but Fall Out Boy gave “Beat It” a role to similar to their own. So while the lyric poems of the Vocal still advocates anti-violence contents, the euphony itself may seem to be enouncing the new matter.
“Killing Me Softly”
A occasional face when the continue was more common than the original, this Roberta Flack Song was made into an iconic make by The Fugees. Of course, this isn’t to say Flack’s version was ignored; her prime version was awarded as the Song of the Year, the Record of the Year, and the Best Pop Vocal Public Presentation by a Female Performer identifications. Today, All The Same, it is The Fugees’ translation that remains in the self-conscious of the general public. This goes to show that beyond the artists who did it, the Song itself is important (with splendid words, such as : “Stromin my pain with his fingers / Singin my life with his words / Killing me softly with his Song / Telling my whole life with his words / Killing me softly with his Vocal”).
“Mandy”
The lyrics alone of this Barry Manilow capital reflect the Vocal’s age. For instance, the opening lines of the lyrics go: “I remember all my life / Raining down as cold as ice / A shadow of a man / A face through a window / Crying in the night / The night goes into.” Yet, this did not stop the many an artists who dealt the Vocal.
“Umbrella”
in that location are representatives when a new Song would be covered by contemporary creative people only a a few months before the special was issued. Of course, the Backs are usually not resigned as singles, yet they can be acquired online. A notable deterrent example of this is Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” Of course, this is not amazingly —the hooks of the words and the catchy tune of the Song are simply irresistible. artists who sealed “Umbrella” include Taylor Swift, Mandy Moore, Marie Digby, Linkin Park, and others. They did not change the lyric poems but the agreement of the Vocal is usually variant, giving a other light to the lyrics.

Music and Lyric Poems as an Ode: Songs Imperial After Refers
March 4, 2010
Ballad Makers get intakes for their Euphony and Words from the most implausible places. Frequently, hearers don’t get to know where the breathing in for the Lyric Poems and Euphony were grew unless the creative person peaches about it. But there are a number of illustrations when the source of inspiration for the Euphony and the Words can easily be found out just by expecting at the song’s Lyric Poems and the contentedness of the song. And then there are times when, beyond the Lyrics, the song’s stirring is believably lauded for the whole cosmos to see. Yes, this happens when the artists deed of conveyance their Songs after Refers.
There are a numerate of Songs purple after Addresses. The Addresses usually aren’t actual Refers of citizenry, although they usually reflect how the Music and the Lyrics of the song came about. For illustrate, Michael Jackson’s famous “Billie Jean” babbles out about a individualized feel —a woman claiming that her child was Jackson’s child—and the Words obviously address a number of real life occurrences. So while “Billie Jean” is not named after a real somebody, the Words and the form of address still reflect the source of the intake. Of course, the authorship and the copulation of the form of address and the Words in this type of Songs do not always work the same way.
For case, there are a count of Songs where the statute title is also the persona the vocalist is talking to. An lesson of this is “Adrienne” by The Calling. In the Words of this vocal, the speaker system (or the singer) is clearly speaking directly (or addressing) to the titular female Adrienne. In fact, the name Adrienne came up in the Lyric Poems a issue of times (the chorus of the Words: “Adrienne I thought I knew you / Once again you used me used me / Adrienne I should have left you / Long before you used me used me up”).
Then there are Songs where the formal somebody in the vocal has very little to do with the Lyric Poems and the song itself. Grace Kelly in Mika’s song of the same name routine that way. Part of the Lyric Poems of this song goes: “I try to be like Grace Kelley / But all her looks were too sad.” Obviously, the titular Grace Kelley is an actual somebody—she was an American actress who matrimonial the prince of Monaco, Rainier III, and became Princess Grace of Monaco. A count of Songs were also grand after the make of actual people, such as “Nelson Mandela” by The Special and “Seymour Stein” by Belle and Sebastian.
Giving a song a style after a person’s name is said to be technique in writing Lyrics. Most of the time, the name in the deed of conveyance does not actually pertain to an actual mortal; so the name usually cannot be discovered in the Lyric Poems itself. The name, instead of have-to doe with to a particularised soul, actually refers to the “everyman”— substance the Words of the vocal could be for anyone who could relate to it. “Adrienne” in the Words and statute title of The Calling could be anyone, for example.
